Vocational education and training (VET)

VET courses provide students with dual accreditation i.e. HSC plus Australian Quality Framework (AQF) certification. A significant advantage is that these qualifications can be used for credit transfer for some university degrees.

VET Courses available at Barrenjoey are:

VET courses uses competency-based assessment and a work placement component is compulsory.

To further broaden our curriculum we assist students to access VET courses offered at other Northern Beaches public schools, including the secondary college, and at NSW TAFE campuses at Brookvale, North Sydney and Central Coast.

The senior school operates on an extended school day to enable students to access our broad curriculum.
